The Centre

Those of you who live in the Devonport area will remember our building as a bit of a blast from the past - even today many of you walk by and still say the same thing...didn't that place used to be the old British Legion Club? It did indeed. But that familiar community haunt has moved down a generation- ready for more happy memories in its new life as a magical musical world for children and young people.

We managed to transform the Griffin Club into our state-of-the-art music education centre back in 2003, thanks to money from the Space for Sports and Arts programme. And Plymouth Music Zone is lucky enough to be well-resourced with a huge range of equipment oozing out of the cupboard ready to be explored - everything from electronic and traditional instruments you will definitely recognise to shakers shaped like pineapples and other more obscure instruments to keep your mind boggled for a bit...there really is something for everyone to try. And it's a great place to do it...

The building is divided into 4 different areas:

  1. Activity Room
  2. Main Hall
  3. Offices
  4. Control Room

If you want to come and have a closer look why not give us a call and we can arrange a tour and a chat...
