Youth Music
Youth Music is the leading UK charity using music to transform the lives of disadvantaged children and young people. They support and develop exemplary music provision at every stage of a young person’s development, whether it’s the first time a mother and baby make music together, or a talented teen’s debut at the Royal Albert Hall. Youth Music has transformed the landscape of musical opportunity in the UK. Since 1999, they’ve reached over two million children and young people through all types of music; both in and out of school. Music has the power to build confidence, broaden horizons and raise aspirations. Their music programmes allow vulnerable young people to find their way, take charge of their lives and unlock their hidden potential. Youth Music is our main funder.
Devonport Regeneration Community Partnership
DRCP has been given over 49 million pounds to regenerate the Devonport area as part of the government's New Deal for Communities Programme. PMZ has been successful with a bespoke bid for funding called the "Devonport Legacy - Music Making a Difference." This involves £220,000 over 2 years for a programme of free activities within Devonport and a capital element for vital equipment and a brand new much needed van. DRCP has also very kindly supported us by paying for new CCTV cameras for our music education centre on the Brickfields site. We also received funding for new staging and seating as well as an outdoor classroom that's helped transform the facilities.
Big Lottery
Plymouth Music Zone won over £50,000 of Big Lottery money in the ITV People's Millions Competition for our 'Sensation Music Station.' It's believed to be the only multi-sensory music studio of its kind in the country and uses groundbreaking interactive technology that's only found in one other place worldwide.
Hippo Leisure Products Ltd.
Hippo Leisure Products Ltd are manufacturers of interactive and sensory water play equipment for children of all ages and abilities. Based in Plymouth, Hippo has a nationwide customer base but enjoys good local support from the swimming pools in Devon and Cornwall. Hippo are specialists in creating vibrant designs of interactive water play and focus on the needs of the 0-8 age range to help increasing water confidence, provide water therapy and encourage the children of Plymouth to swim. Claire Mollet, Sales and Marketing Director of the company said "Hippo are privileged to be associated with the Plymouth Music Zone in helping children to explore their senses through the magic of music and sound."
Manuplas Ltd.
Manuplas Ltd are a Plymouth based specialist manufacturer for the marine industry. Manuplas has a strong, highly skilled workforce who are committed to the production of high quality, custom made buoyancy, fendering and sub-surface products. Claire Mollet, the Sales & Marketing Director for the company said "Manuplas are proud to be sponsoring the Plymouth Music Zone.
