Arts Award Offer
What is the Arts Award?
The Arts Award is a nationally recognised qualification open to anyone aged between 11 and 25. Young people can gain awards through work in any art form – this includes creative, technical and support roles. It assesses how young people develop in their chosen arts activities, rather than achievement of a specific skill level.
What do Arts Awards have to do with PMZ?
All Plymouth Music Zone Music Leaders are trained to deliver the Arts Award and we have been recognised by the Arts Council as an “Arts Award Welcome Centre”. So, in addition to being able to take our own participants through the Arts Award from start to finish we also welcome other people outside the organisation who may wish to take advantage of some of our services to help them complete their own award. Some of these services are available free but other more tailored Arts Award provision can be bought in by schools and other organisations that may need assistance in getting young people to fully complete their awards. PMZ can help fill in the gaps.
