Plymouth Music Zone has become one of the new charity partners of the Garfield Weston Foundation.
The Garfield Weston Foundation is one of the most prominent family founded grant-makers in the UK that donates around £90 million each year to support a wide range of charities. They are especially admired within the charity sector for their flexibility and willingness to provide much needed unrestricted funding towards the operating costs of organisations to enable them to work and achieve the greatest impact. This is the first time Plymouth Music Zone has partnered with them.
PMZ’s Chief Executive, Debbie Geraghty, says:
We’re so thrilled to be working with the Garfield Weston Foundation. We all know it’s a very challenging funding climate out there for charities. Funders like the Garfield Weston Foundation are such an inspiring breath of fresh air in the midst of it all. Their wonderfully open and listening approach to funding means they really know how important it is to trust the life enhancing work of charities on the ground – so everyone can be equal and authentic partners in change. There are certainly huge musical smiles of thanks from everyone at Plymouth Music Zone!
The £20,000 funding received will go towards supporting Plymouth Music Zone to spread joy and togetherness across our many musical communities over the next year.
