Every Tuesday afternoon, a group from Plymouth Highbury Trust get in a minibus and come to PMZ for music making fun!

This term, the group have been writing their own song with music leader Karl and PMZ staff member Ally, who volunteers for this group.

Participants have chosen their own chord progression and what instruments they want to play, along with writing their own lyrics. The group were asked to think of things that make them happy; the words ‘PMZ’ and ‘Highbury’ popped up the most, so it was there that the group started working on ‘PMZ and Highbury Makes Me Happy’.

Along with all of that, the group have had the opportunity to explore instruments they never have before – including the double bass (see photos to see how much the group loved this one!)

We’re really excited to hear the finished song in the summer!
