There's no better way of getting a behind the scenes view of what happens at Plymouth Music Zone than volunteering. If you're passionate about seeing music make a difference to people's lives then this is certainly the place to be. It's important to keep in mind though that it's not always possible to volunteer within PMZ music sessions because of the nature and sensitivity of the work that we do.

PMZ currently has volunteers helping in all sorts of areas, from supporting participants in music sessions to helping with PMZ events and we do currently have a waiting list for volunteering opportunities. We require all our volunteers to fill in an application form and be CRB checked before starting so please bear this in mind when applying as it can take a few months to complete.

RECRUITING NOW: We have some immediate need for professional volunteers with valuable skills they wish to share...

  • TRUSTEES - we're particularly interested in hearing from professionals with experience in areas such as fundraising, business or with legal and charity expertise. If you feel you have something valuable to offer in these or any other areas please do get in touch.
  • GARDENER - PMZ has some outside space that is looking a bit unloved and at the mercy of the weather and weeds. This includes an area at the back of the building that we also use (when the sun shines) as an outdoor classroom. We're looking for a passionate gardener who may wish to take PMZ under their green wing...

You can download our Volunteer Policy and an application form or call our Volunteer Co-ordinator Glyn Fuge for more information on 01752 213690.
